Job Summary
The Part-time School Social Worker is responsible for providing social/emotional virtual services to K-12 students, conducting individual and group counseling, performing assessments, managing crises, and supporting families. Key duties include advocating for student needs, collaborating with educators, providing educational workshops, and maintaining accurate records of interactions. The role requires a Master’s degree in Social Work, relevant licenses, and at least two years of experience in a school setting. Strong technology skills and communication abilities are essential for successful performance in this role.
Required Qualifications
- MS in Social Work (Michigan LCSW or LMSW and Michigan DOE School Social Worker License)
- Ability to obtain and maintain multiple required state certifications and clearances as assigned
- 2+ years' experience in K-12 school setting
- Strong technology skills
- High degree of flexibility and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Must be able to use a personal electronic device and an email address for two-step authentication
