Job Summary
Serving meals to senior residents in the dining room, preparing food according to dietary standards, and taking orders while maintaining a pleasant and efficient operation. Set up and deliver trays, bus tables and trays, pour beverages, and clean work areas as directed. Act as a liaison between residents and the food service department, ensuring infection control procedures and resident rights policies are followed. Maintain neat appearance, adhere to the dress code, and work cooperatively with dining associates. Requires high school diploma, ability to lift up to 40 pounds, and willingness to work weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to communicate by speaking, seeing, and hearing sufficient to serve the residents
- Professional and neat appearance and presentation, adherence to the dress code, and good personal hygiene
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Free of communicable disease
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to relate to residents and associates in a courteous and diplomatic manner under all circumstances
- Completion of drug testing and criminal record background check
- Ability to bend, stand, lift, stoop, sit, walk, stretch, and lift/carry up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to work weekends
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
