Job Summary
Serve meals to senior residents in the dining room, taking orders, setting up tables, and delivering trays as requested. Prepare foods according to dietary standards while maintaining infection control procedures and following facility safety programs. Clean work areas, bus tables and trays, and assist in kitchen operations to ensure efficient dining room operations. Act as a liaison between residents and the food service department, communicating effectively to meet resident needs. Work rotating shifts from 7:00am to 7:00pm with full-time benefits including daily pay, PTO, and health insurance.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED at a minimum
- Ability to communicate by speaking, seeing, and hearing sufficient to serve the residents
- Professional and neat appearance and presentation, adherence to the dress code, and good personal hygiene
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to work with various levels of people, associates, and residents
- Be free of communicable disease
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to relate to residents and associates in a courteous and diplomatic manner under all circumstances
- Completion of drug testing and criminal record background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor
- Physical requirements include bending, standing, lifting, stooping, sitting, walking, stretching, and ability to lift/carry up to 40 pounds
- Must pass background check and drug screening

- Must set-up and deliver trays upon request of chef/cook
- Must bus tables and trays in the dining room and other areas as necessary
- Must pour and cover beverages, assist in preparing, and covering food
- Must assist in proper care and use of kitchen and dining room equipment
- Must clean all work areas as directed
- Must work at a steady pace to meet demands of cooks and residents
- Must work cooperatively with other dining room associates to produce pleasant and efficient dining room operation
- Must understand and observe infections control procedures related to food service department
- Must follow residents' rights policies at all times
- Must follow facility safety program
- Must be able to communicate and relate to the community residents
- Must be able to understand and relate the menu to residents
- Must be able to act as liaison between residents and food service department
