Job Summary
Security Guard position at CAMBA’s Bronx Grove supportive housing site. Responsibilities include monitoring and ensuring security and fire safety of the facility, crisis prevention/intervention, patrolling buildings and grounds, inspecting doors/windows/exits, observing/reporting irregularities, monitoring via security cameras, conducting tenant/visitor screenings, counseling tenants on violations of rules, documenting incidents and property damage, maintaining equipment, and providing information for reports. Requires a high school diploma or GED, NYS Security Guard license and registration, fingerprint clearance, and completion/maintenance of required training (Pre-Assignment, On-the-Job, Annual In-Service) including Fire guard certification. Compensation: $18.54 per hour. Status: Part-Time.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. and/or equivalent experience
- Must have NYS Security Guard license and must obtain license/registration maintained during employment
- Must obtain NYS Security Guard registration and maintain registration during employment
- Must obtain Fire guard certification and maintain it throughout employment
- Must have 8 hour Pre-Assignment security guard training course certificate
- Must obtain 16 hour On-the-Job security guard training course certificate within 90 days of employment
- Must complete 8 Hour Annual In-Service Course each calendar year
- Must obtain and maintain fingerprint clearance through CHC OMH and Justice Center for the Protection of People with Special Needs
