Job Summary
Maintain production floor cleanliness by using equipment like scrapers, brushes, and power washers to clean ceilings, walls, and refrigerators. Sanitize production machines according to the master schedule and Good Manufacturing Practices standards. Collect waste and recyclables, then assist with major spills of liquid or dry product as needed. Adhere to health and safety guidelines while possessing mechanical aptitude to handle locks out and dismantling tasks. This part-time role in Etobicoke requires availability for morning, afternoon, and night shifts across Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at $18.00/hr. Candidates must have prior industrial or warehouse sanitation experience, preferably in food manufacturing, and be comfortable working with sanitizing agents.
Required Qualifications
- Must be available for Morning, Afternoons and Nights shifts (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
- Previous experience in Industrial / Warehouse sanitation and cleaning
- Have previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Comfortable working with sanitizing agents and chemicals
- Strong attention to detail and can met cleanliness standard set by the company
- Ability to effectively communicate in English (written and verbal)
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and direction
- Possess some degree of mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong numeracy skills
- Ability to think, troubleshoot and react to situation
- Strong multi-tasking skills
- Excellent attendance record
