Job Summary
Provide physical and psychosocial care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility. Conduct room checks, monitor environmental safety hazards, and observe changes in residents' physical or cognitive status. Perform housekeeping tasks such as laundry, bed-making, and cleaning bathrooms while operating designated medical equipment. Escort residents for transportation, coordinate internal needs, and assist with personal correspondence. Report suspected abuse, emergencies, or complaints to licensed staff immediately. Maintain professional demeanor during interactions and document all services provided.
Required Qualifications
- 2 year of experience as an AL or LTC resident care assistant
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English
- Satisfactory completion of the company Resident Assistant skills competency checklist
- Be in good physical health and free of communicable diseases
- Lifting, bending, and pushing medication cart about residence
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
- Completion of drug testing and criminal background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Assisted Living preferred
