Job Summary
Implements plan of care for patients under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, delivering therapeutic interventions (therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and aquatic therapy), documents in the EMR, educates patients and families, and collaborates with the PT and staff. Requires active PTA licensure in Illinois and supports relocation for moves over 50 miles; sign-on bonus offered for new grads. Works within Carle Health facilities across central Illinois and contributes to a patient-centered rehabilitation program with Magent-designated facilities and extensive team collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Illinois
- Current Illinois PTA license with IDFPR
- Experience with therapeutic interventions (therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, electrical stimulation, aquatic therapy)
- Ability to educate patients, families, and staff; documentation per policy
- Ability to coordinate with PT and document communication in daily notes
