Job Summary
Program Operations Specialist at Evangeline's House provides shelter, care, meals, and supervision for up to six youth and emerging adults in emergency placements. Responsibilities include direct supervision of youth, leading daily activities, communicating needs to supervisors, documenting client activities, and maintaining a clean and secure facility. Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, passing background checks, CPR/First Aid certification, and effectively managing challenging behaviors.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 21 years of age
- Pass a Criminal Background Check
- Pass a DSHS Background Check
- Capable of auditory and visual supervision; verbally and physically interact with children in care
- Possess skills/abilities to successfully work with the challenging behaviors of youth in care
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- High personal standards of cleanliness and thoroughness
Desired Qualifications
- Two (2) years of successful experience working with youth
- CPR/First Aid training
- Blood borne pathogen/HIV training
- De-escalation and restraint training
- Food Handlers permit
Additional Requirements
- Be available to be on-call to cover other shifts during the week; some Holidays
