Job Summary
Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical and functional abilities, including range of motion, strength, balance, coordination, and endurance. Develop individualized treatment plans aimed at improving mobility, reducing pain, and restoring physical function. Set short-term and long-term goals for rehabilitation, considering patient progress and overall health. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals (e.g., nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists) to coordinate care. Administer physical therapy techniques including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, gait training, and modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, or heat/cold therapy. Maintain accurate and timely records of patient evaluations, treatment plans, progress, and adjustments in care. Write progress notes and reports to keep healthcare teams informed. Communicate with physicians, family members, and caregivers about patient progress and modifications to care plans.
