Job Summary
Set up and clean banquet functions while monitoring assigned sections to ensure all patrons are served. Vacuum, sweep, mop, polish, and wipe areas before, during, and after events. Maintain banquet areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition, ensuring rooms are cleared, locked, and equipment stored securely at the close of each function. Greets guests upon arrival, presents menus, answers questions, and takes food and beverage orders. Cooks or prepares food according to recipes and assists in food production based on menu and guest count. Clears and cleans tables, resets counters, and maintains kitchen and wait stations by keeping areas tidy and stocking assigned spaces. Report tips properly for tax processing and adhere to safety and security procedures. Work varying shifts including nights and weekends to meet business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Three to six months related experience
- Ability to read write and speak the English language
- Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations
- Ability to respond promptly to customer needs and requests for service and assistance
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism
- Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position
- Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures
- Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures
- Ability to report potentially unsafe conditions
- Ability to use equipment and materials properly
- Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely
- Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule
- Ability to be at work and on time
- Ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours
