Job Summary
Budtender at a Missouri cannabis dispensary who provides exceptional customer service, educates customers on cannabis products (including strains, edibles, concentrates, and topicals), processes transactions via POS, maintains dispensary organization, monitors inventory, and stays compliant with state and federal regulations. The role requires knowledge of cannabis products and industry trends, ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, and experience in retail/sales with METRC and other tracking systems. Responsibilities include greeting customers, assisting with product selection, answering inquiries, handling inventory, and attending training to stay current with industry developments. The position emphasizes accuracy, customer-focused service, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of cannabis strains, products, and consumption methods
- Experience in retail sales and customer service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
- Basic math skills and proficiency in using a POS system
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Prior experience in the cannabis industry
- Knowledge of state and federal cannabis regulations
- Experience with METRC and other cannabis tracking systems
- Must be 21 years or older
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
- Must pass all required background checks
- Must possess valid driver's license or state ID
- Must be available to travel 10% of the time
- Remain compliant with all legal and company regulations for working in the industry
- Must have open availability which includes nights and weekends
