Job Summary
Communicate with internal and external customers via telephone, email, and fax regarding freight charges, pickups, tracing, tracking, and proof of delivery documents. Perform data entry by scanning bills, entering P&D and fuel mileage, and processing payroll. Process paperwork and invoices while monitoring checks and cash for accounts receivable and payable. Assist in monitoring Haz-mat information for loads and support supervisors, drivers, and dock workers. Monitor compliance in areas including new hires, safety, and payroll. Work flexible hours Monday through Friday, primarily sedentary with occasional lifting up to 25 pounds, in a noisy, dirty, and quick-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Command of the English language to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
- Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Problem solving and analytical ability is essential
- Must be competent and proficient in Microsoft Office Software products
- Must possess strong typing and ten key skills
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Must be able to work with little or no supervision
- Ability to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
- Close visual acuity is required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing computer terminal, and extensive reading
- Manual dexterity is regularly required including fingering, grasping, and typing
- Talking and hearing required to communicate with and listen to others to share or receive information
- Must be able to work with little or no supervision
- Ability to work flexible hours

Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in transportation industry and/or customer service is a plus
- Experience with Haz-mat or worker's compensation is also very helpful
