Job Summary
The Pre-admission Testing (PAT) RN is responsible for evaluating and preparing surgical patients for procedures, collaborating with surgeons and anesthesia providers, conducting comprehensive chart reviews and assessments, and providing patient education on preoperative and postoperative instructions. Key duties include documentation in electronic records, adherence to safety and regulatory standards, participation in quality assurance activities, and ongoing professional development. A Bachelor's degree in nursing and one year of specialty nursing experience is preferred. Certification requirements include BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
- Current Registered License with the State of California
- Minimum of one (1) years’ experience in specialty nursing
- BLS, ACLS, PALS required within 30 days from date of hire
Desired Qualifications
- ASC experience preferred
