PT Medication Technician

Job Summary
Medication Technician (Part-time) administers or assists with administration of medications, provides physical and psychosocial resident care, and helps oversee wellness scheduling. Responsibilities include documenting MARs, performing narcotic counts, conducting shift reports, maintaining medication cart security, assisting with activities of daily living, observing changes in residents’ condition, responding to emergencies, following infection-control and safety procedures, and collaborating with team members to ensure quality resident care. Must maintain state certification as required and be able to read/write/speak English. Lifting up to 40 pounds and being in good health is required. Will participate in on-call staffing coverage and may assist with wellness scheduling (generally 1–2 weeks in planning horizon). Prior experience in Assisted Living preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Must maintain certification in the state where you work if required
- Satisfactory completion of state-required education/certificates/testing in relation to medication aides as well as the company medication aide skills competency checklist
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English
- Be in good physical health and free of communicable diseases; Lifting, bending, and pushing medication cart about residence is required; Must be able to lift 40 pounds
- Completion of drug testing and criminal background check upon hire and upon request of supervisor
