Job Summary
Part-Time Housekeeper needed to clean rooms and common areas in a hotel/residential setting. Responsibilities include cleaning assigned rooms and areas (bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, common areas), dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, changing linens, restocking supplies, emptying trash, cleaning windows/mirrors/fixtures, sanitizing bathrooms, reporting maintenance issues, handling guest requests, following health and safety standards, maintaining cleaning tools/equipment, assisting with periodic deep-cleaning tasks (e.g., carpet shampooing, floor stripping), and collaborating with management and staff to ensure efficient operations.
Required Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel/residential setting
- Must know how to use common household cleaning implements, such as mops, floor waxes, and scouring pads, to keep areas clean and well-maintained.
- Ability to endure long hours of continuous work when called upon to do so.
- Physical efforts required by the job include walking, standing, bending, stooping, pulling, pushing, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Must know how to care for equipment, how to measure cleaning solutions, and be alert to hazards.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Detailed and team-oriented.
- Must be able to work independently and accomplish goals with little direct supervision.
