Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to assess physical abilities, limitations, and needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical best practices. Provide hands-on therapy, including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities to improve patient function. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly to achieve optimal outcomes. Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, injury prevention, and health maintenance. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatments, and progress. Stay current with advancements in physical therapy techniques and integrate evidence-based practices.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
- Valid state license to practice physical therapy in the United States
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic exercise principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams
- Ability to perform physical tasks required for patient care, including lifting and manual therapy
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in outpatient, inpatient, or rehabilitation settings
- Certification in specialized therapy techniques such as orthopedic, neurological, or pediatric physical therapy
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Continuing education or advanced training in manual therapy or sports rehabilitation
- Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations
