Job Summary
Conduct daily store operations including stocking, merchandising, and maintaining a clean, orderly location. Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely while performing order receiving, opening/closing procedures, and general equipment maintenance. Manage point-of-sale systems, process daily reconciliations, and assist with loss prevention and administrative duties. Provide pump assistance and handle fresh food preparation as required. Work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends with minimum supervision. If 19+, contribute to liquor sales and adhere to Saskatoon Co-op policies.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
- Have or willing to obtain Serve It Right Saskatchewan.
- Must possess sufficient knowledge and experience of merchandise handled to effectively operate the section(s) assigned.
- Must be familiar with all lines of merchandise handled by the site.
- Must have strong communication skills, be service-oriented and motivated, and be capable of assisting customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision and direction while achieving a high level of production.
- Physical ability to handle the work to be assigned.
- Must be able to work mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.
- If 19+ Years of Age, must have Serve it Right designation or be willing to obtain the certificate.
Desired Qualifications
- Be prepared to increase product knowledge and improve merchandising techniques through special courses, product clinics and seminars and training sessions.
