Job Summary
Prepare and serve menu items according to recipe and portion guidelines while maintaining a pace that minimizes customer wait times. Ensure all products are stocked, merchandised, and in sellable condition, disposing of unsellable items and keeping food storage areas sanitary and orderly per Health Department standards. Participate in quarterly inventory and maintain current knowledge of products and ingredients. Fulfill all shift duties as assigned, including occasional weekend work for special events. This role supports The Honest Weight Coop area at the Empire State Plaza, requiring the ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs and work shifts involving frequent standing and walking.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to safely and consistently lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as department manual
- Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, balance friendliness with efficiency, and maintain focus
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers
- Ability to work shifts with frequent standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching
- Food Safety Certification
- Drivers License
