Job Summary
Greet customers and assist with placing floral orders in person or over the phone, including completing all required paperwork. Prepare, finish, and replenish product such as small arrangements, corsages, balloon bouquets, and bows while reviewing items for freshness. Send and retrieve FTD and Teleflora orders, maintain department cleanliness by watering plants and cleaning counters, and prepare daily delivery lists for order fulfillment. Unload trucks, process invoices, run the register, and answer phones promptly to provide friendly service. Follow Hy-Vee's mission to help customers find arrangements for every occasion while adhering to dress codes and safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Six months of similar or related work experience
- Ability to safely use sharp knives and blades for food preparation
- Ability to operate a delivery vehicle in accordance with applicable DOT standards
- Ability to follow Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards, and all department and company guidelines
- Employment contingent upon the successful completion of a pre employment drug screen
