Job Summary
Part-time Faculty for the University of Arkansas Grantham will primarily be responsible for online instruction for up to 70 students, adhering to university policies while providing timely interaction and assessment of student work. Responsibilities include maintaining course records, participating in faculty development, and being involved in curriculum governance. Applicants must hold a Master's degree in Sociology or a related field, have five years of relevant professional experience, and possess strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Sociology or Master's degree with 18 credit hours in Sociology
- Five years of professional experience
- Experience in an educational environment
- Ability to make decisions and work independently
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of distance learning educational models
Desired Qualifications
- Online teaching experience
- Curriculum development experience
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite Products
- Knowledge of Blackboard Learning Management System
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to live and work full-time in specified states
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States required
