Job Summary
Part-time Faculty for University of Arkansas Grantham (UAG) with primary responsibility for online instruction to a maximum load of 70 students. Faculty will teach undergraduate courses with a focus on timely student interaction and quality assessment of student work. Responsibilities include providing weekly communication, participating in curriculum development, maintaining accurate electronic records, and keeping current in the field. Required qualifications include a Master’s degree in Math or an equivalent, five years of professional experience, and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Math or related field
- Five years of professional experience
- Experiential qualifications in addition to academic credentials
- All degrees must be conferred from an accredited institution
Desired Qualifications
- Online teaching experience is preferred
- Curriculum development experience a plus
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite Products
- Knowledge of Blackboard Learning Management System is preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with technicians and faculty
- In-depth knowledge of distance learning educational models, adult learning styles, and technology-assisted instruction
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills required
