Job Summary
Pick up medical specimens from doctor offices, hospitals, and labs following routes determined by the Dispatch Office. Retrieve specimens from boxes or facilities, answer incoming calls regarding route changes, and communicate problems to coordinators as they occur. Package specimens for overnight delivery to MDL's laboratories in Hamilton, NJ and deliver them to pre-determined locations daily. Make additional retrievals outside the normal route when required by the Dispatch Office or local coordinator. Operate a motor vehicle safely for long distances while working outdoors loading and unloading goods, and independently manage tasks while maintaining a professional appearance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read maps and follow directions
- Must obey all motor vehicle laws
- The ability to drive long distances
- Must possess superior customer service skills
- Must possess a professional and friendly demeanor
- Must have strong skills in multi-tasking
- Must work both independently and as a team player
