Job Summary
Pick up medical specimens from doctor offices, hospitals, and labs following routes determined by the Dispatch Office. Retrieve samples from specimen boxes or facilities, answer incoming calls regarding route changes, and communicate concerns to coordinators as they occur. Package specimens for overnight delivery to MDL's laboratories in Hamilton, NJ and deliver them to pre-determined locations daily. Make additional retrievals outside the normal route when required by Dispatch or local coordinators. Operate a motor vehicle safely for long distances while obeying all motor vehicle laws, working independently and as a team player. This part-time role runs Monday through Friday from 1:00pm to 6:00pm.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read maps and follow directions
- Must possess superior customer service skills
- Must possess a professional and friendly demeanor
- Must have strong skills in multi-tasking
- Must obey all motor vehicle laws
- Must be able to operate a motor vehicle safely and for long distances
- Must be able to work outdoors while loading and unloading goods
- Must be able to work indoors while driving or filling out paperwork
- Must be able to interact with individuals at various pick-up locations
- Must be able to work both independently and as a team player
