Provide information and courteous service to customers while maintaining and displaying meat products according to procedure. Place orders for inventory replenishment, keep mark-down reports, and advise the manager of special or out-of-stock merchandise. Prepare, wrap, price, stock, and price check merchandise as assigned, unpack items, and check code dates. Follow morning set-up and evening closing policies, adjust minor complaints per sales policy, and refer serious issues to the Department Manager. Operate equipment necessary for merchandise preparation, monitor case temperatures, clean regularly, and report hazardous conditions or repairs immediately. Perform general housekeeping, sanitation, and stock taking duties as required. This physically demanding role involves lifting up to 30 pounds and requires capability to operate required equipment.
