PT - Day Crisis Care Center Clinician (EOW)

Job Summary
Conduct initial biopsychosocial and substance use assessments, create recovery-oriented treatment plans, and coordinate admissions for clients presenting to the Crisis Care Center. Provide direct clinical services including individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and telehealth services with law enforcement and hospitals. Develop discharge plans, link stabilized individuals with community mental health providers, and ensure accurate documentation for daily and weekly reports. Work directly with psychiatrists, CRNPs, and nursing staff to manage admissions and ongoing care. Requires a Master's degree in a human services field and a valid Alabama driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Masters Degree from an accredited college or university in a human services field (i.e., Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy)
- Valid Alabama driver's license
- driving record acceptable to agency automobile insurance carrier
- Demonstrable knowledge of sound mental health practices and procedures
- Demonstrable knowledge of therapeutic techniques used in social, group and family treatment programs
- Knowledge of and ability to address trauma related issues
- Knowledge of and ability to address substance use related issues
- Trained in or willing to be trained in crisis intervention, specifically Therapeutic Options
- Demonstrable organizational skills
- ability to clearly and effectively communicate both orally and in writing
- Accurate and effective documentation
- Knowledge of the special needs and behavioral characteristics of individuals who are dually diagnosed with mental illness and substance use disorders
- Ability to organize, coordinate and manage admissions to the Crisis Care Center in a timely and expedient manner
- Every Other Weekend (Saturday & Sunday)
- 7 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
