Job Summary

Part-time Customer Service Leader to provide fast, easy, flexible and friendly service per Food Lion standards. Responsibilities include greeting customers by name when possible, scanning orders, handling payments, bagging, unloading groceries for efficient bagging, maintaining front-end cleanliness and organization, assisting the Customer Service Manager, completing CBT training, and adhering to all company guidelines. Typical shift times are Opening 7a-3p and Closing 3p-11p. Requires high school diploma or equivalent preferred; duties emphasize accurate cash handling, customer engagement, cash/credit transaction processing, and maintaining a neat, professional appearance in Food Lion uniform.

Required Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Effective communication and customer service skills
  • Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job
  • Ability to perform the technical requirements of cashier and service center
  • Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations
