Job Summary
Provide fast, easy, flexible and friendly customer service in a Food Lion store, assisting the Customer Service Manager and the Assistant Customer Service Manager to maintain standards and maximize sales through exceptional service. Responsibilities include greeting customers by name when possible, maintaining front-end office procedures and cash-related tasks, operating and understanding cash registers and related services (including deposits, Western Union, money orders and Coinstar), keeping the front end neat and clean, performing sales associate duties as scheduled, serving as customer lead as needed to uphold service standards, ensuring safety and cleanliness, adhering to the dress code and company guidelines, completing CBT and training aids, and handling additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job
- Ability to perform the technical requirements of cashier and service center
- Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations
