Job Summary
Prepare coffee shop beverages and food items according to set standards and procedures. Operate cash registers to process payments for cash, checks, credit cards, and gift certificates while maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Stock merchandise displays, rotate coffee items, and ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and security policies. Communicate store programs, specials, and coupons to customers, and notify management of supply needs. Follow all PPE, safety, and guest experience guidelines. May be assigned additional tasks in other departments as needed based on customer experience requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
- Must be able to work in a typical retail store environment (varied temperatures)
- Must be able to be exposed to outside weather conditions
- Must be able to work in a low to moderate noise level environment
- Travel requirements vary by assignment
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of retail or related experience
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact politely and effectively with customers
- Good customer service and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented
