PT Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach

Job Summary
Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach (PT, 10 hours/week) to design and implement strength training and conditioning programs for all school sports, in-season/off-season/pre-season, in collaboration with athletic trainers and sports medicine staff. Responsibilities include developing training plans based on sound scientific principles, supervising sessions, evaluating athletes, maintaining athletic records, teaching strength and conditioning/exercise physiology, and coordinating with sports coaches to identify needs. Role involves maintaining the strength and conditioning facility, establishing policies and procedures, tracking attendance and progress, performing annual needs analysis with the coaching staff and athletic trainer, preparing a budget proposal with the athletic director, and supporting curricular conditioning classes. Preferred qualifications include a BS in Kinesiology or related field, 3+ years of coaching/conditioning experience, CSCS certification, experience with TeamBuildr, and strong instructional and leadership abilities for high school student-athletes.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Kinesiology or related field
- 3+ years of experience in coaching, strength, and conditioning, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- CSCS certification or credentialed by an independent accreditation agency
- Experience working with TeamBuildr software
- Strong knowledge of strength training techniques and data-driven programming
- Ability to interact and lead positively with student athletes, colleagues, and the public
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
