Job Summary
Provide engaging academic instruction in Reading, Language Arts, Writing, and fundamental science/social studies concepts to prepare adult learners for the GED exam. Develop lesson plans aligned with workforce development goals and conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust teaching strategies. Offer supplemental tutoring and incorporate workplace skills such as resume writing into daily instruction. Maintain a positive classroom environment, track attendance and performance, and submit timely reports to the Assistant Director. Utilize educational software to supplement instruction and monitor outcomes. This part-time role supports students transitioning to post-secondary education, advanced training, or employment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum three years' experience in education
- ability to identify learning styles

- meet program goals
- able to work individually in a one-to-one setting
- previous experience working with at risk population
- previous experience working with LD population
- previous experience with aged 16 to 24 population
