Job Summary
Provide psychotherapy and recovery-oriented rehabilitation services to adults in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities as part of a multidisciplinary team. Conduct assessments to determine resident needs, develop and follow treatment plans, document sessions and updates, and communicate findings with facility staff and primary care providers. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, regulatory requirements, and facility policies. Roles include delivering individual and group psychotherapy, applying DSM-based assessment tools, and collaborating with facility care teams to improve resident quality of life. Eligible licenses include LCSW/LISW/LPCC/LCMHC/LMFT or Doctoral-level Psychologist with appropriate state licensure; responsibilities emphasize clinical care, documentation, and interprofessional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in psychology and a current license (Health Services Provider) issued by the state where practice will occur OR Master’s degree in social work and a current license to practice in the state where practice will occur for therapists (LCSW, LISW, LPCC, LCMHC, LMFT)
- Current state licensure as applicable (LCSW, LISW, LPCC, LCMHC, LMFT or Doctoral-level Psychologist)
- Knowledge of assessment techniques, psychotherapy techniques, DSM, and HIPAA rules
- Experience providing recovery-oriented rehabilitation services in group or individual settings in long-term care facilities
