Job Summary

Deliver individualised psychosocial assessments including initial interviews and surveys to identify needs and wellbeing levels. Provide ongoing individual support to young people through evidence-based counselling interventions, psychoeducation, care coordination, and therapeutic case management. Liaise with hospital social work teams, oncology staff, outpatient clinics, schools, and the wider community to establish effective cancer, medical, and psychosocial networks. Collaborate with state and national teams to develop and facilitate educational and recreation camps, programs, and outings. Ensure young people's involvement in each area of operation is a priority. This 18-month part-time role (0.8FTE) is based in Canberra with an in-office working arrangement. Salary is $90,633 (FTE) plus leave loading, overtime, super, and benefits. Required Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or related Allied Health Field
  • Eligibility for membership/registration with a relevant professional body (e.g. AASW, AHPRA, PACFA)
  • Demonstrated experience in providing individual and group-based psychosocial support
  • Proven ability to work effectively with young people and families
  • Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Provide at least two direct referees
  • Provide relevant copies of professional qualification/s stated on the application
