Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments for children ages 8 and under with autism, administering standardized tests to evaluate cognitive, language, adaptive, social, and behavioral functioning. Perform direct behavioral observations to collect data on patterns and triggers, while collaborating with families to gather developmental histories. Systematically analyze assessment data to identify skills and abilities, then prepare detailed reports summarizing results and recommendations for ABA intervention plans. Maintain proficiency in tools including ADI-R, ADOS-2, WISC-5, and Vineland-3, and stay current on research through continuing education. Work in a 100% center-based environment with remote days available, supporting an interdisciplinary team within a physician-owned organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in psychology, special education, or a related field
- 1 year of psychometry experience
- 1 year of ASD testing experience
- Proficiency in implementing and analyzing developmental assessments and diagnostic tools for ASD including ADI-R, ADOS-2, SRS-2, RBS-EC, WISC-5, WIAT-4, BASC, Vineland-3, and Sensory Profile-2
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with children, families, and professionals
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team
- Empathy, patience, and sensitivity in dealing with children and families
- Familiarity with standardized assessments commonly used in early childhood ABA and autism assessment, such as the Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales and the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS)
- Attention to detail and accuracy in assessment administration and data collection
- Ethical and professional conduct, adhering to relevant codes of ethics and confidentiality guidelines
- 100% Center-based; Remote Days
