Job Summary
Wellstar's Behavioral Health Service Line is seeking an integrated health psychologist to provide psychological services in conjunction with a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare providers. Responsibilities include conducting diagnostic interviews, screening for psychological issues, and delivering behavioral modification and psychotherapy services to patients with various medical conditions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in evidence-based psychological treatments such as motivational interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy. Strong crisis management skills and familiarity with psychotropic medications and electronic medical records are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D./Psy.D. in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited program
- Completion of an APA-accredited internship in a hospital/medical setting
- Focused training in Clinical Health Psychology
- Licensure or license-eligibility in the State of Georgia
Desired Qualifications
- Board-certification in Clinical Health Psychology (ABCHP)
- Training in Clinical Health Psychology
- Experience in integrated primary care psychology
Additional Requirements
- Must obtain board certification within 24 months of hire if not certified already
