Job Summary
Conduct assessment and treatment of clients referred by third-party payers, including the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, employers, insurers, and lawyers. Complete comprehensive reports outlining prognosis, diagnosis, treatment plans, and recommendations for return to work. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, pain specialists, and physicians to manage recovery goals. Provide education to clients on intervention strategies for successful recovery and assist in developing educational materials and in-services. This role supports Sunnybrook Momentum's revenue-generating program specializing in assessment and treatment for workplace and accident-related injuries, serving insurers, employers, and third-party payers. Schedule is hybrid of onsite and remote.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D. in clinical psychology from a CPA/APA approved program
- Registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience
- Training in CBT, group facilitation skills, and other modalities (CPT, PET, DBT, ACT, MBCT, BA, MI)
- Psycho-diagnostic assessment and psychotherapy skills
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage ongoing work in an efficient manner
- Able to provide clinical supervision to an interdisciplinary team
Desired Qualifications
- Clinical experience with a range of psychological disorders (PTSD, mood and anxiety disorders, severe and complex mental illness, personality disorders)
- Clinical experience working with First Responders
- Clinical experience with patients with comorbid physical injuries and chronic pain disorders
- Able to complete cognitive FAE
