Job Summary
Conduct clinical assessments of children and adolescents, providing individual, family, and group therapeutic interventions for youth in residential, foster care, and community-based placements. Lead case reviews and treatment planning at interdisciplinary team meetings while serving as a liaison with community mental health providers for children in foster placement. Assist social service staff in identifying educational, developmental, and mental health services in the community. Deliver complete documentation of evaluations and treatments per agency standards. Attend clinical staff meetings addressing administrative and clinical issues, and participate in continuing education seminars on trauma-informed care.
Required Qualifications
- A Ph.D, LMSW, LCSW or comparable degree from an accredited university
- Clinical experience in evaluation and treatment of children and adolescents
- Computer skills
- The Psychologist/Clinician must be able to use a computer and able to learn software programs
- The Psychologist/Clinician is required to operate a fax, copier, scan, and other office equipment
- The Psychologist/Clinician needs to be able to speak, read and write fluently in the English language
- The Psychologist/Clinician must be able to write in the English language using correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc.
- The Psychologist/Clinician may frequently lift 0-25 lbs., occasionally lift 25-50 lbs., and rarely lift over 50 lbs.
- The Psychologist/Clinician may frequently push/pull 0-25 lbs. of force, occasionally push/pull 26-45 lbs. force, and rarely push/pull over 45 lbs.
- The Psychologist/Clinician will be required to sit, stand and walk throughout the work day
- The Psychologist/Clinician may occasionally stoop
- The Psychologist/Clinician may occasionally kneel
- The Psychologist/Clinician may occasionally crouch
