Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological assessments for injured workers referred through WorkSafeBC, including clinical interviews, standardized testing, and review of medical and vocational history. Evaluate risk of harm, DSM-5 diagnostics, causality, prognosis, permanent functional impairment, and return-to-work considerations. Prepare clear, evidence-based assessment reports meeting WorkSafeBC standards while maintaining clinical objectivity. Collaborate with WorkSafeBC case managers, claim owners, and multidisciplinary teams including physiotherapists and occupational therapists. Maintain accurate, confidential records and engage in ongoing continuing education to support clinical growth. This assessment-focused role supports recovery planning within Tall Tree's integrated healthcare clinic in BC.
Required Qualifications
- Holds a Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology
- Is registered, or eligible for registration, with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC)
- Has demonstrated expertise in: Clinical interviewing and diagnostic formulation (DSM-5)
- Has demonstrated expertise in: Psychological and neuropsychological testing and interpretation
- Has demonstrated expertise in: Functional and disability-related assessments
- Has demonstrated expertise in: Risk assessment and crisis management protocols
- Has exceptional written communication skills for preparing structured, defensible reports
- Demonstrates strong professional judgment, attention to detail, and ability to integrate complex clinical information
- Has experience working with injured worker populations or within insurance/rehabilitation settings
