Job Summary

Provide evidence-based assessment, psychotherapeutic, and behavioral interventions to patients and families individually or in groups, including case management and school advocacy. Supervise psychology interns and fellows on clinical interventions while ensuring all services adhere to federal, state, and national regulatory standards. Function as a resource for interdisciplinary team members by conferring with physicians and assisting in patient management. Plan and implement patient-related programming initiatives, evaluate their efficacy, and update referral source plans. Assist in developing educational programs and maintaining current clinical knowledge through departmental workshops and conferences. Ensure accuracy in documentation and billing for rendered services.

Required Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D)
  • Current license as a Psychologist in New York State
  • Completion of an APA-accredited psychology internship
  • Completion of a relevant psychology postdoctoral fellowship/residency in health psychology, pediatric psychology, clinical psychology, rehabilitation psychology, or related field in psychology
  • Meeting NYULH medical staff credentialing criteria for psychology core privileges
  • Documentation of additional specialty education/training for non-core clinical privileges (e.g., biofeedback, neuropsychological testing)
  • Psychologist license

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with interdisciplinary providers (e.g., physiatry, PT, OT, speech-language pathology, neuropsychology)
  • Experience in evidence-based interventions for complex medical populations, including psychological evaluations and interventions for pain
  • Prior clinical experience in rehabilitation psychology
  • Prior experience in working in an inpatient setting
  • Post doctoral fellowship in related area of rehabilitation psychology
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
