Job Summary
Provide psychological leadership, consultation, and direct services to facility residents to improve mental health and reduce recidivism risks. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess and treat mental and emotional disorders. Work with inmates to prepare them for reintegration by supporting housing, employment, and resource finding. Conduct counseling to help manage emotional challenges and develop coping mechanisms. Coordinate educational training activities and perform risk assessments to inform housing, treatment, and release decisions. Requires an unrestricted AZ Psychologist license, BLS CPR certification, and experience with underserved populations. Full-time and part-time roles available in Tucson, Arizona, with pay ranging from $60.00 to $74.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold a current, unrestricted Psychologist license in the state of AZ
- Be able to obtain BLS CPR Certification (AHA preferred)
- Experience with underserved and marginalized populations, including those with mental health and substance use disorders
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with diverse individuals, including other medical professionals, correctional staff and judges
- Ability to interpret and analyze data to create treatment plans
- Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information and integrity, professionalism and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements
- Must pass the facility's criminal background check and drug screening
