Job Summary
Psychologist/Licensed position across Lincoln, York, and Tecumseh correctional facilities with hybrid work where licensed psychologists provide clinical consultation, supervision, training, and psychotherapy for incarcerated populations. Responsibilities include administering and interpreting psychological tests, comprehensive evaluations to determine diagnosis, risks and needs, risk assessment guidance, development of behavioral plans, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and participation in multidisciplinary teams and clinical review processes. Requires Doctorate in Psychology with Nebraska licensure; provisionally licensed candidates may apply with pursuing full licensure within 2 years. Preferred qualifications include APA-accredited internship, forensic experience, experience with incarcerated individuals, multidisciplinary teamwork, and English/Spanish bilingual abilities. The role involves working within NCCW, NSP, RTC, and other Nebraska facilities with a hybrid onsite/remote schedule, and offers a minimum starting salary of $95,000 with compensation commensurate to experience for fully licensed psychologists.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate in Psychology with clinical certification by the Nebraska Department of Health
- Completed required APA accredited clinical internship (preferred)
- Forensic experience (preferred)
- Experience working with incarcerated individuals or serious mental illness populations (preferred)
- Experience working on multi-disciplinary teams (preferred)
- Experience testifying in Mental Health Board Hearings (preferred)
- Experience in administration of psychological tests (preferred)
- Bilingual English/Spanish desired and assessed (preferred)
- Provisionally licensed candidates considered if pursuing full licensure within 2 years
