Job Summary
Psychologist II provides mental health psychotherapy and outreach to individuals, families, and groups, primarily for Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium programs (TCMHCC) such as TCHATT and related programs. May provide supervision for doctoral interns and graduate students. Responsibilities include psychotherapy and crisis intervention, administering and interpreting tests/inventories, referrals and administrative tasks, outreach and consultation with faculty, staff, students and parents, supervision/training of interns and practicum students, and engagement in research and evaluation activities. Requires Doctorate in psychology and licensure eligibility with the state; ability to multitask and work cooperatively; fluent Spanish is noted in the description as a relevant skill. Salary is commensurate with education and experience; location is Bryan, TX with a full-time schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, School Psychology, or other degree acceptable to the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists (TSBEP)
- One year full-time post-doctoral clinical experience in relevant setting, such as a school or child/adolescent clinic
- Eligible for licensure in the State of Texas as a Licensed Psychologist; become licensed within one year from date of employment
