Job Summary
Provide psychological leadership, consultation, and direct services to facility residents to improve mental health and reduce recidivism risks. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess and treat mental and emotional disorders. Work with inmates on reintegration planning, including housing and employment resources, while conducting counseling to manage emotional challenges. Coordinate educational training activities and perform risk assessments to inform housing, treatment, and release decisions. Requires a current, unrestricted Psychologist license in CA, active BLS/CPR certification, and experience with underserved populations. Must pass criminal background check and drug screening.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold a current, unrestricted Psychologist license in the CA
- Must possess an active BLS/CPR Certification
- Experience with underserved and marginalized populations, including those with mental health and substance use disorders
- Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with diverse individuals, including other medical professionals, correctional staff and judges
- Ability to interpret and analyze data to create treatment plans
- Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Able to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
- Display integrity, professionalism and be able to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements
- Must pass the facility's criminal background check and drug screening
