Job Summary
Psychiatry Physician – Medical Director opportunity near Boston/Cape Cod, MA. Full-time physician leader to join the 120-bed psychiatric facility’s Leadership Team. Board-C Certified with Medical Director level experience and 5+ years in inpatient behavioral health. Oversees OPPE/FPPE, PI/Quality program, utilization review, and collaborates with the CEO on recruitment/retention for a 10-practitioner medical staff. Carries a caseload of 8-10 patients and supports adolescents, adults, and older adults across inpatient and PHP levels. On-site presence with no routine weeknight or weekend call. Competitive compensation package with paid time off, CME, malpractice reimbursement, and potential additional reimbursement for seeing extra patients.
Required Qualifications
- Board-certified psychiatrist
- Medical Director level experience
- 5+ years in an inpatient behavioral health setting
- Active medical license and credentialing
- Leadership experience in PI/Quality/OPPE/FPPE processes
- Experience with physician recruitment/retention
- Ability to oversee clinical operations and provide strategic leadership
