Job Summary
Inpatient Pediatric Psychiatry physician role at Phoenix Children's, joining an integrated Behavioral Health service line with a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations of children and adolescents admitted to the inpatient unit; developing individualized treatment plans incorporating medication management, psychotherapy, and family involvement; providing crisis intervention and monitoring treatment effectiveness; collaborating with multidisciplinary teams; informing and supporting families about diagnoses and treatment plans; mentoring fellows, residents, and medical students; and participating in ongoing education and academic activities within a major pediatric hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited medical school
- Completion of a residency in psychiatry and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry
- Board certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (or eligibility to become certified)
- Valid state medical license to practice psychiatry
