Job Summary
The Psychiatrist will conduct psychiatric evaluations and treatment across the lifespan within Nasson Health Care, a Federally Qualified Health Center. Responsibilities include diagnostic assessments, medication management, developing individualized treatment plans, providing SUD/OUD treatment, crisis intervention and risk assessments, and collaborating with primary care providers, behavioral health clinicians, and care management teams. Must hold a U.S. medical degree, be Board Certified/Eligible in Psychiatry, possess an unrestricted Maine medical license, and have DEA registration to prescribe controlled substances. Telepsychiatry experience, trauma-informed care familiarity, and proficiency with ONC-certified EMR systems are preferred. Immunization proof (MMR, Hep B, annual influenza, COVID series) is required. The role supports full-time or part-time employment at an FQHC site in Springvale/Biddeford, ME, with benefits including health/dental/vision, retirement, PTO, and loan repayment options; applicants should submit a resume and cover letter via the Career Center.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school in the U.S.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Unrestricted Maine medical license
- DEA registration with authorization to prescribe controlled substances
- Experience in FQHC/ community mental health center
- Experience with telepsychiatry
- Familiarity with trauma informed care and social determinants of health
- Proficiency with at least one ONC-certified EMR and basic Microsoft applications
- Must not have an active SAM status
- Immunization (MMR, Hep B, Influenza annually, COVID primary series)
