Job Summary
Diagnose and treat patients with mental health disorders including anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder through detailed assessments, personalized treatment plans, and individual, group, or family therapy. Manage medication, conduct psychiatric evaluations, and provide crisis intervention while maintaining accurate medical records and collaborating with healthcare professionals. Monitor patient progress, adjust care as needed, and deliver mental health education to the local community in Baru Sahib. Offer mentorship to junior staff and participate in ongoing training to stay current with best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Medical degree (MBBS)
- Specialization in Psychiatry (MD or DNB in Psychiatry)
- 3+ years of experience in psychiatric practice
- Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
- Strong diagnostic and therapeutic skills
- Empathy and a patient-centered approach to care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies effectively
- Knowledge of mental health laws and ethical guidelines
- Compassionate and empathetic with a genuine desire to help patients
- Team-oriented, with the ability to collaborate effectively with medical and support staff
