Job Summary
Deliver psychiatric evaluation and medication management services to program clients within a team-based, trauma-informed care model. Provide clinical oversight and supervision of nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and support staff while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality behavioral health services. Responsibilities include performing psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and assessments; prescribing medication and monitoring side effects; supervising clinical staff; participating in treatment planning; maintaining clinical documentation; ensuring HIPAA/compliance; consulting with external medical professionals; may provide direct therapy or emergency psychiatric consultation; collaborate with nursing staff and clinicians to integrate care.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry
- Licensed to practice medicine independently in California
- Completion of psychiatry residency and 2-year child & adolescent fellowship
- Strong leadership, clinical, and communication skills
- Proficiency with electronic health records
