Job Summary
Psychiatrist – Outpatient (Part-Time) to serve as the Clinical Psychiatrist for DWIHN’s Direct Outpatient Clinics. Provides medical direction, planning, and supervision for outpatient behavioral health programs and delivers quality care to DWIHN members. Performs psychiatric evaluations, medication management, primary care evaluation, treatment of substance use disorders and dual diagnosis, and coordinates with treatment teams. Leads and collaborates with APPs, psychologists, nurses, and social workers to develop and oversee treatment plans; ensures timely documentation; participates in continuing medical education; provides crisis intervention when needed; and remains available for after-hours coverage. Requires MD or DO, Board Certification in Psychiatry (additional Child and Adolescent certification preferred), Michigan medical license, and related credentials. Work is typically at the outpatient clinic with potential travel to other clinic sites in Wayne County and the state. COVID-19 vaccination proof required or approved exemption. Required Qualifications
- Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited School of Medicine
- Board Certification in Psychiatry
- State of Michigan license to practice as a medical doctor
- State of Michigan Controlled Substance License
- DEA registration (CS) for schedules 2-5
- BLS certification
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemptions
- Licensed to practice in Michigan
- Driver’s license with valid driving record
