Job Summary
Locum tenens psychiatry role delivering remote outpatient care to adults with severe mental illness. Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up visits via telehealth using SmartCare EMR. 40 hours per week, with 60-minute initial evaluations and 30/60/90-minute follow-ups scheduled as needed. Document within three business days of each appointment, using concurrent documentation practices. Case load 8-10, support staff yes, patient population adults, remote telehealth delivery in a Central California context; responsibilities include evaluation, medication management, and follow-up across scheduled intervals.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO in Psychiatry
- Board Certification in Psychiatry (negotiable)
- Locum Tenens experience desirable
- Ability to provide telehealth psychiatric care to adults
- Proficiency with EMR systems (SmartCare) and remote documentation practices
- Capacity to conduct psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up visits with variable appointment lengths (60-minute initial evaluations, 30- or 60-/90-minute follow-ups)
- Ability to work full-time (~40 hours/week) in a remote outpatient setting
- US-based clinical license in good standing
