Job Summary
Psychiatrist needed for locum tenens coverage in an outpatient telehealth capacity. 40 hours weekly, remote work delivering psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up visits for an adult patient population; interviews and documentation completed within three business days using concurrent documentation. Duties include 60-minute initial evaluations and 30-minute medication checks, using the SmartCare EMR, in a structured community-based telepsychiatry setting. Located in Rockford, IL (US) with remote delivery of care across the service area. Board-certified or eligible psychiatrists with MD/DO credentials and active licensure in the appropriate state(s) are sought. The facility treats adults with severe mental illness and emphasizes telehealth platforms and remote care delivery.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Certification in Psychiatry or eligibility for telepsychiatry practice
- Licensure in appropriate state(s)
- Experience with outpatient psychiatric care and medication management
- Proficiency with EMR systems (SmartCare or equivalent)
- Ability to conduct 60-minute initial evaluations and 30-minute medication management follow-ups
- Ability to work remotely for full-time schedule
- Adult patient population experience
- Strong documentation practices and timely chart completion
